Fantastic experience: I visited the West Beach Promenade along Playa de Poniente in Benidorm, and it instantly became one of my favorite spots in the city. Even at the end of December, the weather was warm and pleasant, perfect for a long seaside walk. The sun was shining, the sea breeze was gentle, and a few brave swimmers were even enjoying the water! The promenade itself is stunning: a modern architectural masterpiece designed by architects Carlos Ferrater and Xavier Martí, inaugurated in 2009. Its colorful, wavy shapes mirror the movement of the sea, creating a unique and artistic coastal path. Playa de Poniente is quieter and more relaxed than the famous Levante Beach, making it ideal for those who want to enjoy Benidorm’s beauty in a calmer atmosphere. A perfect mix of design, history, and Mediterranean charm, absolutely worth a visit all year round.
Fantastic experience: Really nice sandy beach. Super soft sand, long beach, plenty of space to find, nice views with mountains on side and benidorm city on other side. Parking by the beach 1 euro for 2 hours (unfortunately only maximum 2 hours of stay)

Fantastic experience: We used to advise against coming to Benidorm, but not lodging here, we came to visit the Spanish Miami. The landscape is not among the best, but the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol have been developed by building excessively, even recklessly. However, Poniente beach is beautiful enough that we came twice. Although it is a resort area for the wealthy, the cost for two sunbeds and an umbrella is €18. This is reasonable compared to less beautiful, smaller beaches where you spend €25. The only downside is the parking. Don't park in the blue lines, because every two hours you need to insert €1, or you can do it by downloading a Benidorm app. We found parking 5 minutes away on foot on the street, heading towards the restaurants, without paying and for the whole day.

Positive experience: Playa más tranquila que la de levante, pero ojo que también hay muchísimos ladrones que viven de quitar móviles, te vigilan en la playa y te quitan la bolsa donde llevas todo lo de valor. Deberían de poner más vigilancia en eso, benidorm vive del turismo y que poco se nos cuida permitiendo esto. En cuanto a la arena es fina, agua caliente y sin piedras (a diferencia de la playa de levante) es una playa muy cómoda y bonita y el paseo amplio. Echo en falta una zona para poder acudir con la mascota. En Andalucía hay zonas donde puedes estar con tu perrito, son mucho más limpios que los humanos que lo dejan todo lleno de colillas, botes de refrescos y más basura. A nadie hace daño la mascota atada encima de una toalla debajo de la sombrilla. Por una sociedad menos especista luchemos contra el abandono masivo de mascotas en verano.
Fantastic experience: Para mí la mejor playa del Levante y del Mediterráneo,familiar te bañas muy a gusto sin rocas ni altos y bajos que te caes pasear fenomenal y con el paseo nuevo lo tiene todo cada año que voy me gusta más.

Fantastic experience: Visiting from the UK, the beach was beautiful so clean. The sand was so hot and the cool water was perfect! Lovely people coming to the beach to offer drinks/cocktails etc. such friendly people and many shops around

Fantastic experience: Schöner Strand. Nicht so voll wie die playa levante. Je nach Tageszeit einige freie Parkplätze entlang der Strasse. Fussduschen. Restaurants und kleine Shops entlang der Strasse. Liegen und Sonnenschirme zur Miete (saisonale Verfügbarkeit).
Positive experience: He vuelto a visitar esta playa después de 3 años, sigue igual de preciosa y con algún local que otro para comprar accesorios de baño que hagan falta, muchos restaurantes y bares donde tomarse algo. El aparcamiento es algo difícil y en zona de playa solo de pago. Merece mucho la pena ir a pesar de todo, arena fina y aguas limpias

Positive experience: Muy buena playa con arena clara y aguas cristalinas. Menos concurrida que su hermana de levante. Por ponerle un pero....no hay duchas ni chiringuito en la playa. La arena quema muchisimo en hora punta. Me ha gustado mucho disfrutar de un baño de día y de noche. Buenisima

Negative experience: La playa se esta llenando de gente que no respeta las normas, hay una cuerda para limitar hasta donde se pueden poner las toallas, pero a los que no hablan español les da igual. Al socorrista no le importa y a la policía menos.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful, wide, quiet beach where it is much calmer than Levante. Lifeguards, first aid, and toilets are all well maintained. The sea slopes gradually and has beautiful light blue water. Do expect it to be much busier in high season and difficult to park.
Fantastic experience: In July, when I went, it is a quiet and family-friendly beach. Arriving at 11:00 or 17:00 from the hotel, we always placed ourselves in the first or second line of the beach. It was clean and had lifeguards. There were no pickpockets in this area.

Positive experience: The sea is very clean. But there are a lot of naked people on the beaches around here.
Fantastic experience: Gorgeous beaches €18 for two sun loungers and a parasol. The only thing I didn't like is the Spanish bar/tapas bar across the road. The bald guy tried to rob me & tried charging me €6 for a very small bottle of water which ruined my day! I was with my son & we needed water it was very hot as well. Nearby public toilets are very handy.

Fantastic experience: Elegí veranear en Benidorm por esta playa, temperatura perfecta, he tenido días donde se podía ver los peces en el agua cristalina o días de muchísima diversión con olas.
Fantastic experience: Esta playa es un continuo ir y venir de personas caminando, y realizando actividades deportivas, todo el paseo es muy hermoso,si te apetece te puedes unir a los grupos de gimnasia para mayores, super divertido.

Positive experience: Espectacular playa, tranquila, grande y sin masificar. Gran oferta gastronomica alrededor. Toda de arena, está un poco sucia de los plásticos que trae el mar y hay bastantes algas, pero vamos algo bastante normal conforme están las cosas. Si buscas tranquilidad aquí está es la playa o alguna cala discreta. El video es de un día con bandera roja.

Negative experience: PONIENTE beach is the only one that is not cleaned in all of Benidorm, it is full of seaweed and the town hall does not remove it from the sand, it is disgusting.

Unfortunately, there are quite a few pigeons coming from the nearby park. It’s worth taking a walk from here to the viewpoint Tossal de La Cala.

Fantastic experience: It is one of the beaches that the city has, ranging from the Marina where there is an accessible beach area, to the Music Viewpoint. Visiting the beach, the influx of bathers is more national, it has clear sand and crystal clear waters. It is less crowded than Levante. We walked along the promenade which is quite busy, especially the first third where the Elche park area is located.

Fantastic experience: My visit to Poniente Beach in Benidorm was a truly rewarding experience. Both the beach and the promenade are spectacular, with pristine sand and crystal-clear waters. It's a beach with a more laid-back atmosphere compared to Levante. Recommended if you're going with family or children.

Fantastic experience: Fine sand beach with turquoise waters and less crowded than Levante. The further you get away from the town, the more the mentioned characteristics are fulfilled, but don't forget that it's Benidorm and that in summer the crowd is usual. If the South wind blows, its waters are crystal clear and out of season it can be spectacular.
