Fantastic experience: I was at the beach every day, it was very nice to relax. Sometimes there were many waves, sometimes few. The problem is when it comes to parking, it's best to go on foot or by bus. There are many sunbeds available for rent. It's a beautiful place to spend the day with family or friends. On that day, there were a few jellyfish to see, but they are harmless.

Negative experience: In La Mata it's very nice and calm, very family-friendly, I really like it a lot. It's true that they are improving things but others should have them already, for example, trash cans along the boardwalk next to the beach (there aren't any) and we have the beach full of dirt (regardless of whether people are very careless). The access for disabled individuals is almost impossible, the entrance is very complicated, the restrooms are the same. In short, I hope they improve for everyone's sake.

In the first few days, we were swimming in that area, but we realized that we should center a bit more to avoid rocks and be in a cleaner water area. It is crowded but there is always a good spot (I am referring to the first half of August). A beach we didn't know and I recommend. Additionally, surfboards, paddle surf, scooters, and even jet skis can be rented. Lifeguards are nearby.

Negative experience: La playa está bien, pero el paseo de tablas a lo largo de la playa es una vergüenza. Año tras año es peligroso andar en muchas partes del recorrido. Hay que mirar al suelo para no meter el pie en un agujero, o no pisar una tabla rota que se levante, o no tropezar, con las distintas alturas de las tablas, y que no se te caiga nada, entre las tablas que tienes que darlo por perdido, eso sí no te caes y te rompes los dientes o un tobillo. Además este año muchas de las farolas están fundidas, con zonas de total oscuridad. Una pena...
Positive experience: Playa abierta. Días tranquilos y días con oleaje que descubren algunas piedras. Buena arena, pero masificada y no todo el mundo se lleva su basura (y luego se quejan de los perros). Este año sobran los controladores de playa y faltan algun@s socorristas más.
Fantastic experience: Estupenda playa de fina arena y aguas super limpias. No es muy ancha, pero si de considerable longitud. Servicio de socorrismo, y no resulta muy difícil aparcar en las cercanías. Ideal para niños y gente de todas las edades.

Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in the area, the beach is very clear and there are no stones. Some jellyfish like fried eggs, but other than that, it's great.
Negative experience: I hate this beach, I hadn't been here for years because I usually go to Guardamar, but this year I confirm that I won't return. Stones in the water, very dirty....

Fantastic experience: Whenever we come to Torrevieja, we have to visit the restaurant. We love the paella from this place. You have to visit it.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful place, you can live and relax here, wide sandy beach, apartment located nearby. Paradise on earth. Rooms: Clean and very nice one-bedroom apartment, fully equipped. Nearby activities: Restaurants and shops nearby, playgrounds for children. Safety: Quiet, well-kept area, very clean. Walkability: Within 700 meters from the apartment, all necessary things in the area, restaurants, shops.

Fantastic experience: Tiene una playa larga de arena muy bonita. ¡Lo amamos mucho! Fuera de temporada alta, a menudo paseamos aquí con nuestro perro por las noches. Pero cuidado, aquí suele haber mucho viento con grandes olas, deberías ir a Acequión playa con niños pequeños. Lo recomiendo solo a buenos nadadores y surfistas.
Positive experience: Am fost intr-o zi nefasta cred. Pentru ca asteptarile mele de la o plaja bandera azul erau mari. Final de septembrie. Am intrat prin sud asa ca nu stiu daca toata plaja era murdara si cu alge asa cum era acolo. Este o plaja intisa si deschisa iar valurile erau destul de mari incat tinerii sa incerce sa faca surf iar in apa tulbure doar vreo doua persoane inotau. Poate in alta zi plaja de La Mata este superba dar nu duminica, 26 septembrie ☹
Fantastic experience: Buena playa perfecta para los niños. Arena fina. Separaciones en parcelas por el Covid. Sombrillas para alquilar por 10 euros la hamaca. Hay zonas de mar tranquilas y otras para surf. También hay zonas peligrosas por resaca y remolinos que están marcadas convenientemente. Gran variedad de restaurantes en la costa. Hay incluso algún bar para bebidas dentro de la playa.

Positive experience: Schöner gepflegter Strand mit wachsamen Rettungsschwimmern und klarem Wasser, besonders gut zum Baden. Oft auch sehr wellig, was besonders spaßig ist. Jedoch keine zusätzlichen Angebote wie zum Beispiel Volleyballfelder - Sternabzug; und auch nichts zum Schnorcheln (nur Sand)- Sternabzug. Tipp: Morgens früh da sein, da der Strand sehr voll wird

Positive experience: Of course, that beach lacks some palm trees in line with the area, as they would completely give a much more beautiful view that fits the location of this beach in La Mata, Torrevieja. La Mata beach has different beach bars where you can have a drink, and in some, you can even snack on some food and buy ice cream as well. This beach has rental attractions like water slides, the banana boat which is a lot of fun, and also jet skis.

Positive experience: A good and peaceful public beach, the sand is leveled daily. Easy to go swimming. There are a few cafes and restaurants open on the promenade even during the winter season.

Positive experience: We went to the beach to sunbathe for a day, with our own snacks and chairs, nothing going on in November, a few shop staff were around the beach. Otherwise a good place and there's plenty of space.

Fantastic experience: Great beach. The gentle slope into the sea allows for many beach activities. Shallow beach. Services are adequate and from May to June there is still plenty of space.

Positive experience: Great, big and entertaining when you have kids who can handle waves. Not recommended for toddlers. My kids are 10 years old... they loved the beach because there were waves. They feel they have outgrown the shovel and bucket. Now they want action! Buy a float if you really want to have fun. One downside of the beach is that there are no showers. It is very windy, but that can be a plus because it cools you off.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach. Great fun activities to do. Family did the Jet Skies and availed of the sun lounges. Only negative is that it is very difficult to get a taxi from there. We waited over 90 minutes after booking the taxi before it arrived.
Positive experience: This was my first visit to this beach. As you can see, it was very, very busy that day. This is hardly surprising though (in July). It was nice to see they are working hard to protect turtles, by displaying advice in multiple languages. Google also asked me to describe the hotel, but my comments are about the beach featured in my photos (not a hotel) so service and hotel location are not applicable.

Negative experience: After years of summering at the beach, I have to admit that it gets worse every year... the paid sunbeds and water games take up 80% of the best swimming area... the cleanliness is awful; a few years ago they built a promenade replacing the wooden one because of the lack of maintenance, people were tripping and falling... well, there are still remnants of the construction... and the services are exactly the same. It's a shame that this great beach, due to the disastrous management of the Torrevieja town hall, has lost its blue flags... it only serves to generate income... but they don’t take care of it at all.

Negative experience: It's a shame to see the beach under construction and with half of it wasted for that reason. It's really sad, and the construction seems to be taking a long time.... Rooms: The apartment is nice. The views are beautiful with the sunrise and that precious dory 'waking up'. It's a pity about the beach because of the construction which seems like it will be endless. The city council could take an interest and not ruin the beach and businesses.

Negative experience: Beware of the deadly currents. Last week 5 deaths within 2 days (Guardamar del Segura). The state is doing little about it (no visible warning signs, etc.).
