Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed La Mata. We visited on a Wednesday and the market was on. It was huge. Struggled to get parked but once we did we stayed & had a fabulous day. Will definitely return.

Fantastic experience: ¡Claro! Es genial tener una playa cerca de casa, ¿verdad? Aunque no sea la más famosa o espectacular de Alicante, tiene ese encanto especial que la hace perfecta para escapadas de fin de semana en verano. La cercanía te permite disfrutar del sol, el mar y la arena sin tener que desplazarte mucho, lo cual es súper conveniente. Además, seguramente tiene un ambiente relajado y familiar, ideal para desconectar y pasar buenos ratos con amigos o en familia. Sin duda, esa playa se convierte en un rincón especial para ti, donde puedes relajarte y disfrutar del verano sin complicaciones.
Fantastic experience: Me gusta mucho esta playa, y también la zona alrededor. Hay muy buen ambiente, bellísimas zonas peatonales, y la playa como tal es amplia y agradable. Se puede ir solo, en grupo y también con niños y mascotas.
Positive experience: Esta playa es súper familiar, amplia y limpia. Tiene cerca paseo con bares, restaurantes y chiringuitos a pie de playa; con amplia variedad gastronómica desde fast food a Una buena paella. Hay Lavapiés y aseos distribuidos. Servicio cruz roja, información marítima y socorristas en temporada verano. Está catalogada como playa Bandera Azul. Mes de agosto muy concurrida. Cerca parque del molino con amplia zona de Pinar y Carrascal con Merendero. Se pueden observar zona protegida de flora/fauna de dunas. Un punto en contra es que no admite perros y debería tener alguna zona a lo largo de playa donde se permitiesen ya que estos suelen ser más limpios y educados que algunos visitantes.

Positive experience: I personally didnt have a nice experience there. When we went there were a lot of seaweed washed up on shore and I could not enjoy the beach as much as I wanted. I might reconsider my opinion if I visit on another day, however it was a nightmare to step on the seaweed. It is a fine sandy beach, but it is overcrowded. I would not recommend it to people who dislike crowds. There are toilets and also foot washing devices.

Fantastic experience: We live in Torrevieja, but during the summer we usually come in the afternoons to this beach: La Mata, Alicante. The sand is clean, the beach is wide and extensive, so there is enough space for everyone who wants to relax, and even to play ball games with my son. The beach is well maintained, without accumulations of seaweed, although in some places there are large rocks. There are small beach bars where you can have something to drink or eat a snack, but they usually close around 6:00–7:00 PM. I haven't seen changing rooms or public restrooms. However, there are fresh water fountains where you can rinse your feet before leaving the beach.

Positive experience: No nos vamos a engañar, la playa es fea y con una palmeras daría un buen cambio. No entiendo los arbustos feos que han plantado , algunos de medio metro , todos torcidos y pobres , realmente que era lo que quería hacer el ayuntamiento? . Positive experience: Visited this beach twice on our last holiday. Nice and flat area plenty of beds to hire. The guy who rented out the beds was so nice, having noticed I had walking issues he found someone who could translate for him to inform me that if I wanted to go into the sea he could arrange for the lifeguards to take me in. Thought that was so sweet of him.
Positive experience: Playa perimetrada por el tema covid para respetar las distancias de seguridad. Fuimos por la tarde y no estaba muy masificada. Sin embargo, hay muchísimas olas, y la entrada a la playa puede ser hasta un poco peligrosa y difícil si le añadimos las rocas y piedras que hay una vez entras o empiezas a nadar... En la orilla sí que hay arena fina y se puede estar ahí con los peques, pero teniendo muchísimo cuidado porque llegan olas grandes y fuertes.

Fantastic experience: Well, the most beautiful beach. Wide, with many bars. La Mata is wonderful. At any time of the year. We were there in January, June, October, and during the holidays in December. We spent time on the beach every month. Of course, temperatures vary. I like flamenco. Pharmacies and shops are all within reach. Adults and children will find something for themselves. And so much sightseeing.

Positive experience: Nice beach to spend time in the morning or evening. During the season, crowds from 9:00 to 19-20. When entering the water, be careful of the small jellyfish that swim near the shore. I take away a star for the jellyfish.

Negative experience: Attention. Almost always a red flag. Please do not swim, last week two people drowned right next to us on Playa Roqueta. Take care of yourselves, only one star for the following reason. What good is a beautiful beach if it is life-threatening and the government does nothing with signs, etc., to avoid deterring tourists and investors due to the deadly currents. Invest more in education and then we will all be satisfied and won’t have to watch from our towels as our loved ones drown....

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place. For those who love sand and those who enjoy jumping on stones. And for photographers, it must be an endless source of inspiration.
Fantastic experience: Incredible place. You have to see it to believe it, a strip of land 16km long and 400m wide in places. Walk a bit and do the rest by car or entirely by bike. We walked 7km and ate, finishing with a good swim. I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Hello vacationers! This section of the beach is the most beautiful one we have discovered by chance so far! There is also an extra parking lot available for free! The beach is slowly waking up for the next season! The sun loungers and umbrellas were set up today, on 14.3.24! Positive experience: It's an ok free public sandy beach, clean, some rocks as well. Plenty of restaurants and even free street parking.
Fantastic experience: Very nice, wide beach with beautiful views of the sea and the city on the hill. Next to it is a beautiful reserve with endemic vegetation interspersed with paths and piers from which you can admire nature. A large comfortable parking lot is available.
Fantastic experience: This beach is one of the most spacious in Torrevieja. The beach has a wide promenade just over 40 meters wide along about 2300 meters of shoreline, where there is all the necessary modern infrastructure: foot showers, storage lockers, restrooms, medical stations, lifeguard towers, children's and sports playgrounds, wooden walkways along the beach, and equipped ramps for the disabled. To shelter from the blazing sun, it is possible to rent sunbeds and umbrellas, and for lovers of active beach time, there is rental equipment for water sports. There is a large parking area nearby. There is also a café on-site where you can have a light snack and enjoy refreshing drinks.

Positive experience: It's the closest beach to where we live now. The truth is that we like it quite a bit, although we don't go every day... This summer we went a couple of times for the whole day, we arrived early to see the sunrise, with the advantages of having a parking space and being able to choose where to put the umbrella. In addition, we had some churros for breakfast right there, we swam and bathed up to the buoy. We ate some sandwiches and packed up at the end of the afternoon, so we spent what you would call a full day at the beach.
