Cure Beach
Information
Playa del Cura, located in the heart of Torrevieja, is a small, popular beach known for its relaxed atmosphere. It boasts a beautiful promenade lined with palm trees and is surrounded by various restaurants and bars. The beach offers a golden sandy stretch and clear Mediterranean waters, making it an excellent choice for families, couples, and solo travelers looking for an urban beach experience.
However, during the summer months, the beach can become extremely crowded, making it challenging to find a spot to relax. Many users recommend arriving early to secure a good place, as the beach tends to fill up quickly. Despite its popularity, some visitors have noted that the beach's cleanliness leaves much to be desired, with reports of litter and algae in the water.
In summary, Playa del Cura is an attractive destination for its vibrant atmosphere and accessibility but visitors should be aware of the crowding and potential cleanliness issues.

Positive experience: Playa del Cura is located in the heart of Torrevieja, making it very accessible for both residents and tourists. There are several bus lines that pass nearby, and parking, though limited, is available on nearby streets and in some paid parking lots. This is an excellent choice for those looking for an urban beach with good infrastructure and plenty of activities. The combination of natural beauty, amenities, and a lively atmosphere makes it a very attractive destination for families, couples, and solo travelers. If you don't mind the possibility of crowds during the high season, Playa del Cura offers a complete and enjoyable beach experience. The beach is well-maintained, with regular cleaning services ensuring the removal of litter and general upkeep of the area. The public restrooms and common areas are also kept clean, contributing to a positive experience for visitors. The beach offers a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea, with clear waters and a golden sandy stretch. The landscape is complemented by an attractive promenade lined with palm trees and landscaped areas, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere.
Positive experience: It's a beach that isn’t very big, maybe not for everyone, but I am from Valencia city and here the beaches are kilometers long. This one has several rocky areas, which is why it doesn't have much sandy stretch, and it's always full to the brim, since it has very easy access. It’s not excessively clean, neither the sand nor the water, and it’s one of those places where by 6 in the morning there are people waiting to get a spot. It wouldn't be one of my main choices when picking a beach in Torrevieja, although it's an option if you don't want to go further away. Something that caught my attention is that both in the promenade there are many shops, but also many people of color with the typical 'top-manta', but not only on the promenade, they even set up on the beach sand, and the police pass by and don’t say anything to them; that should be eradicated completely.
Fantastic experience: Nice beach, good sand, always crowded on sunny days, no parking, but still a good place to be :)
Positive experience: Very nice beach promenade. Good access to the water.
Fantastic experience: I love Torrevieja. It’s cheap, close to the airport, and it offers many beautiful beaches. In some restaurants, the price for a small beer hasn’t changed for a long time. There is always, always warm sea! I have swum there in winter months, and it’s still great! There are many things to do in Torrevieja like Las Salinas de Torrevieja, Las Naciones Park, floating museums Delfín S-61 and Albatros III, or have a walk on Dique de Levante Breakwater. For real travelers, Torrevieja is quite close to a city break in Valencia, which is worth seeing as well.

Negative experience: Angry people!!!!! Pets are not allowed!!!!!! The information is not true.
Fantastic experience: A wonderful place to walk and enjoy the sea breeze. But the owners please take care of their pets and what they leave behind! We have two pets!

Negative experience: It is a very small beach, with little sand area, which makes it crowded. It is not one of the worst beaches in Torrevieja but it is not the best either. It is dirty and neglected, like all the beaches here. But at least it has fine sand and does not have too many rocks. However, you need to be careful when entering the sea as there are some stones inside that if you don't see you can hurt yourself. Furthermore, the water is dirty.
Fantastic experience: It is probably the most frequented beach by people; there are palm trees, attractions for children at the beginning of the beach, a lot of restaurants, bars, kiosks with ice cream and drinks, you can buy souvenirs, very nice dresses and handbags for women, huge castles built on sand; The prices are really decent, good food. A lot of people from the Netherlands, Russia, Scandinavian countries, few blondes. Beautiful place; Life blooms in the evening.
Fantastic experience: A beautiful sandy beach, but relatively crowded... always a way to find a small spot...
Positive experience: It's a fairly small beach for the number of people that usually go. It's packed with people, and you almost have to sit on top of the others, you don't have your own space. It's a calm beach with almost no waves, ideal for children. This year there was almost no beach as the sea had taken all the sand, they need to put a lot more sand so we can enjoy this beach more.

Fantastic experience: Great place to stay, lots of great restaurants on the promenade
Fantastic experience: Great beach, several options for beach bars, very good for kids
Fantastic experience: The only promenade in Torrevieja where you can walk while breathing in the fresh sea air with plenty of restaurants and cafes. There are craft shops to buy souvenirs.
Fantastic experience: Very popular beach in Torrevieja, it has a bigger promenade than Playa de los Locos so it's better for having a walk and enjoy the views. Lots of restaurants and bars. The sandy part is a bit small compared to other beaches but it's nice and it's soft sand.

Fantastic experience: So it’s a 10/10 / we spent most of our time there because we felt so comfortable and safe, and especially this beach with a blue sea but freezing given the season... but otherwise we will definitely come back and the organized picnics were really cool. My wife and daughter loved it, so I loved it too.
Negative experience: The water is usually quite dirty and there are also few lifeguards.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Particularly liked the chairs and safety bar in the water for those of us that aren't mermaids but like to wet our feet. It's a credit to the locals who developed this. Also the seabreakers meant no big waves into what I'd describe as lagoons. I felt very safe there. The only negative was not many seat/shady areas, but most people just brought their own. Highly recommend this beach

Negative experience: Small, old, overcrowded beach, dirty and smells very bad. There isn't a single beach in the area worth visiting. We will not return to Torrevieja.

Fantastic experience: Father's Beach. Well-maintained, nice infrastructure. If you have a snorkel, it's worth swimming to the end of the swimming area, there are underwater seaweed meadows and schools of fish - the nicest are those silvery-green ones with yellow stripes. I recommend going in September and early October - temperatures are like in Poland in summer, and the water is 20-25 °C, there's no crowd.

Cure Beach: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Wonderful. I was swimming in 20-degree water on November 30. Besides, the beach is characterized by a wonderful calm, beauty, and cleanliness.
Fantastic experience: I go there almost every summer, the beach is super nice, while you swim you can see all kinds of fish, even tropical ones. And the sunsets are spectacular. I love it!!!
Fantastic experience: My favorite beach
Fantastic experience: A small beach, mainly sandy, facing southeast, so you can even sunbathe in early December. There are no changing rooms, no showers. They offer decent massages on site.
Fantastic experience: Beach located on the promenade. Well-maintained, free, and close to restaurants, bars, and shops.
Positive experience: It was never 'a big beach', but unfortunately it is being eaten away by the sea at a great speed. 'Guirilandia' in winter and 'extramadrid' in summer.
Fantastic experience: Nice place
Fantastic experience: Great place to stay, lots of great restaurants on the promenade
Fantastic experience: A magnificent place for a peaceful autumn rest for people over fifty;) Clean beach and a comfortable, shallow entry into the sea.
Fantastic experience: One of 4 beaches in Torrevieja, but one of 2 in the central part of the city. 5* for the mere fact of existence. It enjoys enormous popularity every sunny day, even outside of the peak season. Located below the waterfront promenade. Convenient access to the water over sandy bottom. In rocky areas, there are ladders. It actually lacks toilets to the highest standard (you have to go to nearby bars on the promenade) and showers with fresh water (there are only low taps for rinsing feet).
Negative experience: It's not worth it....
Negative experience: Small, old, overcrowded beach, dirty and smells very bad. There isn't a single beach in the area worth visiting. We will not return to Torrevieja.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach in the center of Torrevieja, it's a shame that it gets so crowded in the summer months, it's even hard to lay down a towel, especially in the front row because older people wake up early and put their umbrellas up at six in the morning. I leave you photos of how beautiful it is at night with the full moon.
Positive experience: Beautiful walk by the sea
Negative experience: The people are very disrespectful
Fantastic experience: In front of the Torrevieja boulevard, a very busy place, you will find this beach. I recommend arriving early so you can get a good spot facing the sea.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach but crowded
Positive experience: The beach is large, wide, but there are many underwater rocks and no showers or changing rooms. There are many cafes and shops along the promenade.
Positive experience: Good
Positive experience: You have to check which part you want to swim in because there are areas with rocks.
Negative experience: Be careful with backpack thefts from bathers at Cura Beach. Just today, a couple had their backpack stolen, which contained a camera and keys.
Positive experience: No waves. A lot of people. Pretty girls in thong bikinis. Vendors with nice things to sell. Full of craft stalls.
Fantastic experience: Great beach, several options for beach bars, very good for kids
Fantastic experience: A beautiful sandy beach, but relatively crowded... always a way to find a small spot...
Fantastic experience: Very good location. Best beach in Torrevieja. It's worth coming early to get a good spot. There are restrooms available.
Fantastic experience: Very long boulevard, many stalls and dining/drinking options. Quite crowded, but that gives a cool vibe.
Positive experience: It's a fairly small beach for the number of people that usually go. It's packed with people, and you almost have to sit on top of the others, you don't have your own space. Negative experience: Angry people!!!!! Pets are not allowed!!!!!! The information is not true.
Negative experience: Bad
Positive experience: Nice
Positive experience: Urban beach, it's not the best in Torrevieja
Fantastic experience: It's true that it is always crowded, but we still love it very much.
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beach stretches in Torrevieja, bustling, full of life, exciting.
Positive experience: If you like to see the water, you'll have to find another beach.
Fantastic experience: There are always many people. The foot showers operate for 2 months. The bathrooms are closed. The local government could get their act together!
Positive experience: Only a small piece without stones, a lot of seaweed. And very narrow beaches. Buildings are too close together. Too many people and not enough space.
Negative experience: I love it
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful
Fantastic experience: Arriving early there is space. Perfect day.

Fantastic experience: Very nice beach, sand, nice water and a lot of bars
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach. Highly recommended for families.
Negative experience: It's not nice. It's very, very narrow and not long, but there are a LOT of PEOPLE, it’s very, very uncomfortable and the local authorities allow people from this place to set up their umbrellas at 7/8 in the morning and then leave. When you arrive at the beach at a normal time, around 10/10:30 in the morning, you can't find a place to sit; if you find a spot next to the wall, it's unbearably hot. I won't return.
Fantastic experience: Here is ALL of Playa Del Cura: from the beach itself, to its little bay inlets, observation deck, and seaside walking promenade boulevard.
Negative experience: Very small beach and way too many people. Also, people smoke, bothering non-smokers and children. It’s a natural place and smoking shouldn't be allowed here to preserve the environment. It's overwhelming with so many people. Instead of relaxing, it creates stress.
Negative experience: Dirty. There is no water to clean your feet most of the time. Smokers throw their cigarettes on the sand. The promenade is too small due to the number of street vendors.
Fantastic experience: We love this beach, super clear, clean and every day we went there were neither seaweeds nor jellyfish, on the contrary, you can see a lot of little fish.
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach, with soft sand.
Positive experience: It's a beach that isn’t very big, maybe not for everyone, but I am from Valencia city and here the beaches are kilometers long. This one has several rocky areas, which is why it doesn't have much sandy stretch, and it's always full to the brim, since it has very easy access. Negative experience: I didn't like it because there were big waves and I couldn't get in due to my back and leg problems. But for those who like waves, it's great. We paid for the chairs and umbrellas, and they were perfect. There's a Chinese woman offering massages. I bargained and got 40 minutes of massage.
Fantastic experience: A regular spot for us. Very cozy and nice beach with a promenade.
Fantastic experience: Lovely spacious apartment on the 6th floor, with a view of the sea. Just 4 steps from the yard to Playa del Curan beach...
Positive experience: Not the best beach, further only to get into the water via the rocks. Lots of nuisance from the sale of caps/sunglasses/shoes etc. on the boulevard, this place is not recommended.
Fantastic experience: I have loved it
Fantastic experience: Beautiful boulevard
Positive experience: Small and cramped beach
Fantastic experience: Super place, I love it.
Fantastic experience: Great regatta but hard to see from so far away. But sun and good food.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach and a super nice place to stroll along the dyke and enjoy a good drink.
Fantastic experience: Torrevieja beach, magnificent, we come here to buy a house.
Positive experience: If you don't have many expectations for the nightlife and you like the sea and relaxation, Torrevieja might be a good fit for you. The establishments along the seafront compete with each other, but you will definitely find the right one for your tastes.
Positive experience: Significantly more people and less space than at the other nearby beaches. There is no playground on it. There are restaurants around.
Fantastic experience: The only promenade in Torrevieja where you can walk while breathing in the fresh sea air with plenty of restaurants and cafes. There are craft shops to buy souvenirs.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular, I highly recommend it, it is one of the best in Torrevieja.
Fantastic experience: Nice beach, good sand, always crowded on sunny days, no parking, but still a good place to be :)
Fantastic experience: Small city beach in Torrevieja
Fantastic experience: Thank you very much, perfect beach since I love Torrevieja.
Positive experience: First vacation some time ago. We liked it.
Negative experience: Lost coin, deserted beach.
Positive experience: A good city beach, small
Fantastic experience: Nice town for a half-day stay or relaxing for a whole week)))
Positive experience: There are no showers
Fantastic experience: Wonderful place, don't miss it.
Positive experience: Beautiful and quiet beach in winter.
Positive experience: It's fine, it's quite wide, the sand is fine.
Fantastic experience: Very popular beach in Torrevieja, it has a bigger promenade than Playa de los Locos so it's better for having a walk and enjoy the views. Lots of restaurants and bars. The sandy part is a bit small compared to other beaches but it's nice and it's soft sand.
Positive experience: Summer time is very busy.
Positive experience: We were there on a bad cold day. That does give a different impression. The next day the weather was better and that makes a difference. It's nice to be there, but it's not very big. You can't compare it to Benidorm, or the city center of Alicante. Still, it should be nicer in the summer. I have no idea if the prices also go up, I found it quite expensive. You pay for the view.
Fantastic experience: Ideal for a walk while soaking up some sun. There are many bars to grab a drink or have a meal.
Fantastic experience: Promenade with restaurants and shops. Beaches with sand and rocks. Beautiful views.
Fantastic experience: It is a beautiful beach.
Fantastic experience: Biggest beach in area. Close to the middle of the strip.
Positive experience: Lovely clean beach ⛱️
Fantastic experience: Great place for a stroll, lots of bars, restaurants, and cafés.
Positive experience: The best thing about the beach is its promenade, which is large and well maintained. The beach is small and in summer it is difficult to find a spot on the sand.
Positive experience: Nice beach, to relax and spend time enjoying the sea, sun, and tranquility
Positive experience: The beach is very nice but in summer it gets crowded and it's hard to find a spot.
Fantastic experience: In the evenings, the area is at its most beautiful.
Fantastic experience: I really like the promenade and the hospitality area
Fantastic experience: A wonderful place to walk and enjoy the sea breeze. But the owners please take care of their pets and what they leave behind! We have two pets!
Fantastic experience: Small beach but quite clean, video in mid-December, ideal temperature.
Positive experience: One of the beaches in Torrevieja
Fantastic experience: My favorite place
Positive experience: A regular beach, nothing outstanding. Shallow in some places, suitable for families with children.
Positive experience: Very good for swimming, many people, clean water
Positive experience: It is very nice to walk here, but Los Locos is my preference. Quieter environment.
Fantastic experience: Nice place, beautiful sandy beach. Bed and umbrella rentals available.
